Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-16.00pm (Flexibility for early & later finishes) - 37.5 Hours Per Week

Due to substantial growth and the growth of the engineering team, we are now looking to welcome an experienced Engineering Manager to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. Duties:

  • To ensure smooth running of plant machinery, facilities and manufacturing processes. This is inclusive of boilers, compressors, water systems, vessels, ovens & on site machinery.

  • Attend and arrange support for major breakdowns for machinery to avoid downtime at site.

  • Liaise with engineers, suppliers and management to ensure smooth communication surrounding upcoming projects, manufacturing & improvements in the processes.

  • Lead a team of engineers to achieve manufacturing targets to a high standard in a timely manner

  • This role is a 50/50 on the tools and management/office based opportunity.



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years working within a leadership/management role within site or engineering management surrounding a manufacturing orientated industry

  • An apprentice trained or fully qualified engineer with either a mechanical/electrical bias

  • Relevant qualifications - City & Guilds, NVQS, Degree (Or Equivelent) would be advantageous

  • Experience of Sigma Six Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience of working with board level management
