Job Description

Essential Homecare is a brand new service in the Wigan borough offering personal care to adults aged 65+ within their own homes.

We are looking for energetic and compassionate people to join us to help develop our services. We need people who are committed to delivering high quality care to people in our community who need extra help with every day tasks in their own homes

Previous experience in care is preferred, however not essential.

Full training will be provided to successful candidates upon completion of interview, DBS checks and references.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

As a care professional with Essential Homecare, you will be a valued member of our domiciliary care team providing 1:1 person-centred care in the client's own home, having a caring, friendly and compassionate approach. You will be given comprehensive training and support to achieve your full potential.

Main Activities

• Provide home care to older people that live in the community.
• Provide personal care & all aspects of housekeeping duties.
• Assist with shopping for food and other household essentials.
• Preparing and cooking meals.
• Administration of medication (when required).
• To work flexibly on a rota, including some weekends.
• Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.

Part-time hours: 15-40 per week

Salary: £11.00-£16.00 per hour
