We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an Investment Operations Senior Technical Analyst supporting projects that touch all aspects of what our Investment Operations team are responsible for.

Location and flexible working: In this role you’ll work with our Telford based Investment Operations team supporting a series of projects. We’ll need you to be able to travel to Telford at least once a month for a couple of days but it’s likely that you’ll want to spend a bit more time with the team whilst building your knowledge when you first join the team. There may also be the need for occasional trips to our other sites. The role

Our Investment Operations team are responsible for the administration of around 2,000 unit-linked and with-profits funds with over 9,000 pricing series linked to them. Our roles vary from oversight of fund accounting and unit pricing to maintenance of customer facing data for our funds. We’re currently looking for someone to join our team to help us deliver projects that impact each of our areas of responsibility in different ways.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from, and work with, every part of our team as you support the planning and delivery of multiple projects. You’ll need to be able to build on your existing investment operations expertise to quickly become a technical expert on how we administer our funds – we’ll make sure you’re fully supported on this.

The nature of this role means that you’ll need to be comfortable working with other areas of the business and challenging proposals/decisions to ensure we deliver the right outcomes for customers and align to long-term strategic objectives of the business.

What are we looking for?

Essential

• You possess expert knowledge of unit-linked/with-profits fund administration processes (including unit pricing, unit matching & box management and trading).
• You have experience working on process improvement projects and/or technical projects.
• You are proactive and inquisitive.
• You're comfortable communicating complicated content to stakeholders at all levels.
• You understand project artefact formats/contents and their purpose.

Desirable

• CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)
• Experience of working with outsourced service providers.
• Experience of migration-type projects.
