Job Description

Ramsbury Primary School is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant Apprentice with an additional roles such as Midday Supervisory Assistant and After School Club Assistant. Ramsbury Primary School have been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted and are an English Hub. In these exciting times for their school, they are looking to recruit a new member of staff to join the team and achieve a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.


We are a very successful one-form entry school situated in a lovely, thriving and supportive village, easily accessible from Swindon (20 minute drive) or East Wiltshire.


Duties;

  • Supporting pupils learning, either in groups or through 1:1 work
  • Supporting pupils self esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
  • Provide physical/personal care to pupils where required
  • Supporting the Teacher/s
  • Supporting the curriculum
  • Supporting the school

Desired skills;

  • Sensitivity and understanding for building good relationships with children
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for motivating children to learn
  • Active listening skills to understand the childrens' needs
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • English and Maths Grade C+/4 and/or Functional skills Level 2
