We are recruiting for our Residential Care Service, Millstream House, where we support up to 22 residents primarily living with Huntington’s Disease or acquired brain injury.

At Millstream House, you will develop a range of skills as you support residents through their progression of Huntington’s Disease including end of life care. This hugely rewarding role requires compassion and resilience.

A big part of your role will be supporting people to do their favourite things, finding creative ways to maintain skills, helping people realise life wishes and lead as fulfilling life as possible

Requirements:-Your duties will also include:

• Helping the people we support to maintain skills.
• Assisting with day to day living tasks.
• Supporting all residents to live as independently as possible.
• Providing personal care 2:1 and 1:1.
• Moving and handling needs.
• Support with medication and complex clinical needs i.e. Catheters, PEG feeding.
• Support to access activities and socialise with others.
• Providing end of life care.

The individuals we support at this service enjoy a lot of community access, so confidence in lone working is essential. We are therefore looking for Support Workers with previous experience who can hit the ground running. However we will still provide a full training programme that is specific to the needs of the individuals we support.
