Administrative Assistant

£11.53p/h

6 month temporary contract initially

Are you looking for an opportunity to build on your current skill set whilst working in a fun, busy team?

St Edmund's College is hiring an Administrative Assistant to support the development team for 6 months initially, this will provide the individual with the opportunity to learn about fundraising, donations and how a development team works.

What you will be doing

  • Creating internal and external communication documents (newsletters, printed mailers) to be sent to a wide range of people.
  • Updating the College's websites, intranet and social media channels.
  • Production of relevant documents, taking minutes and support the Development Director with production of papers.
  • Processing data associated with donations and fundraising.
  • Being the first point of contact for Alumni by telephone, email and face to face.

The successful candidate

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with written and electronic information and files.
  • Confident in communicating appropriately across all levels, with strong communication skills in person, via email and on the phone.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Part-time hours: 30 - 36.5 per week

Salary: From £11.53 per hour
