The team you will be a part of

The Channel Sales team is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers and execution of sales plans, targets and budgets within the overall regional and business unit sales strategy. Accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base.

This role in summary

A key Business Development role within the Kitchen Contracts Team to develop and grow sales of multi-branded MDA products within the House Builders Market.


Identify, establish, develop and manage business relationships with nominated Trade Partner accounts to grow sales and meet volume, value and profit targets. In parallel grow House Builders Accounts within a geographical region.


As well as the day-to-day commercial activities, this role also offers opportunities to support all areas of the Kitchen Channel, to help create and implement the channel strategy and key initiatives to drive growth and unlock potential in the Channel.


This is a field-based role, but will be required to travel to customers and internal meetings.

Your responsibilities will include

  • New House Builder Accounts - prospect, develop & nurture via ABI Tool
  • Existing House Builder Accounts - Support, develop and assist growth.
  • Identify Trade Partner opportunities in the geographical area to support House Builder growth.
  • Plan time effectively and schedule virtual and in person meetings at the necessary cadence.
  • Develop, establish and maintain strong relationships with internal departments.
  • Act as liaison between House Builders, Trade Partners and any internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met.
  • Gain product knowledge of Whirlpool brands - Indesit, Hotpoint and Whirlpool - to understand what is needed to succeed within the House Builder Market.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, dynamics and competitor activity.
  • Work effectively with Trade Partners Sales Teams to support success in the field.
  • Manage administration of accounts and the role efficiently.
  • Ensure brand consistency.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
  • Implement strategies for new products across House Builders and Trade Partners.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements

  • Some knowledge and experience of the House Building channel would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven Field Base experience, good numeracy and have a high level of commercial awareness and acumen.
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiation, decision-making and meeting customer requirements.
  • Core computing skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and the Google equivalents.
  • Candidates must be highly self-motivated, a team player with a flexible attitude, able to work quickly and under pressure in a competitive environment.
  • Candidates must be organised, proactive and tenacious .
