SERGUnRVbVFBOFJscnlJeEJIUTdxUT09

Job Description

We are seeking a legal administrator / receptionist for our office in St George’s Place, Canterbury.

You will play a crucial role in giving an excellent first impression of our services and handle a busy workload, which will involve learning legal skills. File opening and welcoming new clients to our firm will become your main areas of expertise. You will be a natural problem solver and not afraid to take the initiative when you identify an issue that needs to be resolved.

The role is one that requires someone who is upbeat and enthusiastic, enjoys speaking to the public and understands the importance of first-class customer service. You’ll need to be confident and professional on the telephone and we will also expect you to be friendly, engaging, and personable when greeting our clients in person.

Your main duties will include liaising with new clients and with colleagues across the team, detailed data entry, filing, copying, scanning, and managing our post and general admin. One-to-one training will be provided, and progression is likely for the right candidate.

Previous conveyancing or legal experience is advantageous but not essential. Customer service experience is desirable, but we are mainly interested in people who have a passion for going the extra mile for our clients. If you have proven administrative skills, can manage a fast-moving workload and are eager to learn, we would like to hear from you.

Boys & Maughan is one of East Kent’s largest and oldest legal practices. We are the market-leaders in the area, with six local offices, and have won various awards for our conveyancing services. We recommend that you visit our website to see our client reviews.

Training will be provided. An adaptable and flexible approach is paramount coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude to work. The position is full time and permanent. Your hours will be 9.00am to 5.00pm with 25 days’ holiday per annum.

Please note only applicants with relevant experience will be contacted. To apply please send a CV and covering message to: Kerry Curson, Human Resources Manager, Boys & Maughan by email.

You would be welcome to call Kerry on 01843 234000 if you would like an opportunity to discuss the post before applying.
