The Camlin Academy Placement Programme is a 11 month programme. You will be given responsibility and opportunities to add value from day one and appointed a mentor to support you in your training.

Quality Engineer – Placement Opportunity

The successfully appointed candidate will have the opportunity to build a deep knowledge of business imperatives and operational issues, as well as the opportunity to fully participate in the business. The Quality function is a site-based team at Lisburn who work closely with all areas of the business including Engineering, Operations and Suppliers to provide quality products to our world-wide customer base.


Responsibilities

You will join an existing Quality Team supporting Operational Excellence through

  • Developing and implementing quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems.
  • Monitoring and analysing quality performance.
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Collaborating with operations leaders to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Reviewing certifications, specifications, and processes.
  • Supporting Supplier Performance Evaluation and measurement

What you will need to succeed

  • You will need to be a second-year student from a 3rd level qualification seeking an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in business. Be working toward a degree in an engineering discipline
  • Good IT skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Familiar with Health & Safety regulations

Desired criteria

The following skills will be valuable but are not essential:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or quality environment
  • Working to deadlines
