We have the rare opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced staff in a high quality and well-resourced environment in the newly created role of Senior Cover Supervisor. Under the line management of the Assistant Principal the role holds direct responsibility for managing a team of Cover Supervisors to maintain the Cover Diary, arranging cover for absent teachers and relevant support staff, liaising with supply agencies, meeting and greeting new supply staff. The post holder will also be expected to personally carry out cover. The role may be of interest to those looking for experience prior to teacher training, with the potential to even complete this with us in the future. You have the authority to gain exposure in your chosen subject area and can be guided on suitable routes into teaching.

We are based in West London/Ealing. This position is to commence as soon as possible. The working week is 36 hours from Monday to Friday starting at 7am. The starting time is non negotiable given the duties involved prior to school day commencing. The salary is from £28,879 per annum and has already been pro rated. Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Skills & Experience needed:

• Educated to at least A-Level standard along with holding GCSE or equivalent Grade C or above / Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics
• Experience in working as a Cover Supervisor or similar role with Secondary age students
• Good organisational skills with strong experience of Office 365
• Excellent classroom management skills with an approachable yet assertive manner when necessary
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain calm during pressurised situations
• Although not essential, applications from those who are degree educated would be favourably welcomed
