The Department of Sociology invites applications for the role of Senior Teaching Associate in Social Work. You will also be the Deputy Director of Studies for Lancaster University’s social work teaching partnership with the Frontline organisation.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to be involved in Lancaster’s well established partnership with Frontline and to play a key role in its innovative approach to social work teaching and practice learning.
The role will support the Director of Studies in the academic administration of the department’s Frontline partnership and take lead responsibility in key areas of Lancaster’s work in servicing the Frontline partnership, working with faculty and university teams in academic quality and standards, student support and student-facing information systems.
It is essential you possess a Masters level qualification in social work and preferably a PhD, and you will have recent experience of social work with children and families. Registration with Social Work England is essential.
The post is fixed until October 2025, and will be based at Lancaster University.
