Job Description
The Credit Trading team is part of Capital Markets within Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM). The Credit Trading business in based in London and New York and works closely with the Credit Sales teams in these markets plus Frankfurt.
Credit Trading is looking to add a Senior Euro Corporate trader to its London Credit Flow Trading Desk. The Desk has a mandate to provide Corporate and Institutional banking clients access to a range of Corporate Credit products across a broad maturity spectrum. The role will support the growth of the business in line with the Capital Markets strategy and manage risk in a coordinated manner.
About the role:
You'll support our client franchise by optimising end-to-end deliverables of Credit Products and Services in collaboration with business partners and support functions. You'll offer consistent and competitive pricing, best execution, and risk management in support of the Capital Markets strategy, according to best practices and regulatory requirements, work closely with Sales coverage to maximise client facing opportunities. Working as a part of a team you'll manage all related trading risks in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and reporting requirements as well as any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
You'll supply the wider stakeholder group with feedback on wider market and trading conditions, ensuring an appropriate control and conduct framework is established, monitored and adhered to.
Support the design and analysis of relevant internal MI and KPIs, client analysis and external business intelligence and review and analyse key external trends and influences to ensure that a wide range of information is used to support the development of the business.
About you:
Experience you'll have:
- Proven track record of Euro Corporate Credit Trading, Risk Management and market making.
- Comprehensive knowledge and wide practical experience of relevant Fixed Income products and services including ability to evaluate various options when matching these to business/customer needs.
- Experience in supporting client franchise including our institutional client segments.
- Customer and results focused approach.
- In-depth knowledge and wide practical experience of relevant procedures, products and services, including interpretation and application of best practices, and the ability to immediately recognise the full range of options when matching these to business/customer needs.
- Knowledge of key relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements and technical interpretation.
- Demonstrates awareness and proactive approach to control and conduct agenda.
- Understanding of the wider financial services industry, regulatory changes and pertinent economic and political factors which may impact on the Group’s business and overall aims.
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholders, build and maintain networks.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. This role has been identified as a Client-dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
