Temporary 6 Months Fixed Term Contract role in Group Finance function, Reporting and Taxation team. Will ideally lead to a perm role

Responsible for:

• Support with statutory accounts and audit
• Controls improvement
• Other adhoc projects

Support with statutory accounts and audit

• Understanding of current IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards and impact on statutory and internal reporting
• Prepare statutory accounts for a number of group companies
• Respond to requests of information from the auditors and tax advisors
• Review and produce audit and tax deliverables
• Prepare and post year end and audit journals

Controls improvement

• Prepare Balance sheet reviews
• Preparation of reconciliations between management and statutory accounts
• Review, document and monitor existing controls in the Finance team
• Support with intercompany processes automation
• Assist with setting up and maintaining new ledger hierarchies for statutory reporting
• Implement other controls improvements

Other / Ad Hoc projects

• Work closely with the other finance teams in UK and offshore to lead/participate in assigned projects
• Support and financial reporting of business combinations
• Support with monthly group and tax reporting

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Experience in statutory accounts preparation or audit
• Experience in controls improvement
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong Microsoft excel skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with colleagues of all levels and backgrounds
• Ability to work as part of a team
• SAP experience preferred, but not required
