We are recruiting 4 interns to start at the end of June 2023 to support, contribute to, and learn from the work of the Foundation's programme teams for a 6-month period.
We are the Commonwealth agency for civil society, dedicated to strengthening people’s participation in all aspects of public dialogue so they can act together to build democratic societies. Our work is organised around key areas of focus: health, environment & climate change, and freedom of expression, with cross-cutting themes around gender equality and civil society in small and vulnerable states. Our Graduate Internship programme provides opportunities for recent graduates to participate in all aspects of the Commonwealth Foundation, to gain experience and to develop and strengthen their knowledge and skills.
Our work is delivered through three core programmes:
Commonwealth Civil Society, which combines flexible grant-making with capacity development approaches
Creative Commonwealth, our cultural initiative, working to inspire and connect storytellers and artists and bring personal stories to a global audience
People of the Commonwealth, our outreach and advocacy programme, bringing citizens and their views into the centre of discussion and decision-making through engagement in policy spaces.
The core programme work is supported and communicated by our:
Knowledge, Learning & Communications team, working to deliver our messages and amply the voices of civil society across the Commonwealth.
The 4 interns will start 27 June 2023 and each will be based in one of the programme teams for a 6-month period.
