Arriva TrainCare has an exciting opportunity to join the team based in Bristol as a Fuel Point Assistant. Put your knowledge and experience to great use with this varied role. You’ll benefit from:

Working as part of the Light Maintenance Team, as a Fuel Point / Vehicle Servicing Assistant you’ll take on a varied role, that includes efficiently operating the fuel point and CET plant to deliver the highest possible performance as a team member. Cover the Operational Controller duties as and when required. Carry out overnight servicing on a variety of customer trains, including, but not limited to the replenishment of coolants, oils, fuels, sanding systems and Screenwash.
What will I need to be considered for the role of Fuel Point Assistant?

  • A solid understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental standards
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate well as part of a team and on your own
  • NVQ Level 2 certificate in Engineering or BTEC/ City and Guilds equivalent is advantageous
  • Previous experience in rail vehicle maintenance activities is desirable
